Description

A set of 8 bamboo angklung rattles in two 4-tone octaves. They are rattled to produce a sound that is characteristic of the sounds of the Balinese rice fields. Once used in most bronze angklung orchestras, they are only found in a few village sets, notably one established by Colin McPhee in the 1930s.

Note that the stand is not included, only the rattles.
